A decline in Volunteer Firefighters has been seen across the United States and in our area as well. Hudson Fire-Rescue implemented the Explorer program for the youth of our community in the hopes of providing trained personnel for the Hudson community for years to come.
The Program is limited to not more than 10 Explorers. Acceptance of up to 10 Explorers will be based on the date your application is turned in to the Captain of the Explorers.
Our story
Candidates must be:
At least 14 and no older than 17yrs and one day.
A Hudson ISD resident unless your parent or guardian is a member of Hudson Fire-Rescue, Hudson Fire Department K-9 SAR or Hudson Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
A US Citizen
Willing to make as many meetings as possible and commit to learning what is taught about firefighting.
